How do CHERRYFLEX^® Softgels differ from Tart Cherry Powder Pills?

Capturing the nutrients found in fresh tart cherries, our CHERRYFLEX® Softgels are unmatched for Tart Cherry antioxidant value. Each Cherry Flex Softgel capsule contains over 100 mg Anthocyanins, 20 mg Flavones and 30 mg Tannins, Melatonin and two important flavonoids -- Isoqueritrin and Queritrin.

Traditional Tart Cherry Powder Vegetable Capsules are prepared by simply removing all available moisture and volatile natural solvents using a high vacuum extraction procedure. This results in a powder that has a high degree of hygroscopicity (water absorption character) that makes these powders incapable of full dissolution (the process of dissolving a substance into a liquid). After ingestion, the initial addition of moisture results in a high viscosity shell forming on the outside of the powder mass and essentially makes the remainder of the material incapable of being utilized because the cellular level phytochemicals can never become released and accessible to digestion and absorption.

CHERRYFLEX® Softgels on the other hand are unique because they are not void of all the moisture and natural solvents. Our production process opens and releases membrane structures containing the phytonutrients.
